Crazy Weekend

It was a crazy weekend. We picked blueberries Saturday morning, and then took Maren to The Bite of Salem. The Bite needs to start competing with the Salem Art Fair and the Worldbeat Festival. It’s basically a cheap carnival, fair food (as in hotdogs, elephant ears) and not really great bands on a stage on the far side.

We did however, take Maren on her first carnival rides, a roller coaster, spinning teacups and a few others. She loved it. And we grabbed an elephant ear and some shortcake, so it was all good.

The rest of the weekend was all music and drums. It was the churches 26th anniversary, so it was all music worship Saturday and Sunday services, and then I hit Outward Sunday afternoon/evening. I actually got blisters and a tweaked wrist from drumming, which is awesome. I kind of think of it like battle wounds. Blisters? Sore muscles? Yeah, that’s how hard I play when I worship. :-)
We finished the weekend up with part two of the London Broil. This one was more of an even thickness, so I got it a perfect medium with a hot pink center. That, some A1, and some wilted cucumber tomato salad finished things nicely.
