Perfect Pitch
by chris ~ January 17th, 2008. Filed under: Family, Music.So, I think Maren has perfect pitch. In the last month or so, she’ll launch into songs and she’s hitting them almost dead on. I’ve got perfect pitch, and I know the same songs, so I tried a little experiment. I picked a song that starts off acapella, and had her sing it with no pitch reference. She hit it spot on. Over a week or so, I had her try it again, only by playing some other songs in front of it, songs that are in other keys, etc. I ask her to sing it, she thinks a second, and then hits it. I recorded a bit of a video of it this morning as an example.
